About Us:

ONRST is a private nonprofit association based in Rabat, Morocco, focused on fostering R&D in ICT, Energy, and Industrial Management.

It collaborates with several universities and institutions through the Trusted Cluster Scientific Researchers network, working on R&D projects funded by industry under Moroccan R&D programs. Its vision aligns with King Mohamed VI's Strategy for the Evolution of National Scientific Research, aiming to promote applied scientific research for economic transformation and social inclusion.

The Observatory brings together teacher-researchers, doctoral engineers, and students for multidisciplinary research projects, specializing in areas such as digitization engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and more.

Research focus

Digital transformation

Design of models and processes to equip and support companies in their digital transformation. This involves identifying the dimensions of digital transformation, assessing digital maturity and implementing a roadmap aligned with the digital transformation strategy.


Modelling and Analysis of Systems

Modeling systems is a way to control their complexity through abstraction of reality. The model being a representation of the real system, facilitates the study and thus the analysis of the system. This research axis proposes to model and analyze different systems in the computer and/ or production field


Artificial Intelligence applied to Supply Chain Management

Artificial Intelligence provides in-depth analysis of the large volume of data generated throughout the supply chain. It makes it possible, among other things, to anticipate supplies, the quantity of production required, as well as maintenance operations. This research axis aims to apply the tools of artificial intelligence to offer a better management of the supply chain.


Smart City & Industrie 4.0

This research axis focuses on all the technological advances related to the factory of the future, including cyber-physical systems (CPS), the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing and Big Data. With a view to the design, development and integration of smart and connected technological solutions.


IoT & Big Data Architectures

Design and development of Big Data architectures for the storage and processing of data from IoT devices. This axis also covers the aspects related to the creation of predictive models from data collected and analyzed in order to participate in the creation of value as part of the overall strategy of the company.


Production & Logistics Systems

Research in this area makes it possible to propose solutions for production systems and modern supply and distribution logistics systems in order to cope with the complexity of managing these systems, increase the visibility of their information, improve their performance and gain competitive advantages.


Information Security and Cybersecurity

Design of models related to systems security engineering and development of an agile approach to help implement a security maturity model to support companies in the continuous evaluation of the security of their systems. This axis also covers the design of algorithms for the security of connected objects.


Design of Industrial Systems

This research axis covers all activities related to the design, prototyping and production of industrial systems. It consists in analyzing, modeling, simulating, evaluating, designing and formalizing the stages of the development of an industrial system in order to make this development more faithful to the needs of the Moroccan company.

Design of models and processes related to data management. This includes the collection, preparation, analysis, storage and process of innovation and valorization of data in all its forms (massive, complex, heterogeneous, uncertain).


Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies

Develop key technological bricks and a comprehensive approach to energy management. The research areas are divided into two major themes: > Efficient energy generation and treatment > Intelligent energy management


Mobilité Electrique

The various research conducted in this framework aims, on the one hand, to identify the issues of the EM notably through a benchmark on national and international experiments, and secondly to propose studies and solutions relating especially to the design of batteries, motorization and charging stations.
